What a fabulous day we had at the beach today ...5 of us Plein Air Girls decided to do a bit of outdoors painting at our local beach ..It was one of those stunning winter days , starting off a bit chilly but soon warming up as we got into the swing of putting this splendid view onto our canvas and paper..gotta say that it was hard to pack up and leave this lovely spot when it came time to return home..
I have been having computer problems so haven't posted anything for awhile . Didn't realise how much I relied on this technology until it was taken away..Feels like I have been cut off from the world .Well not so bad now hat I have discovered that I can do a lot from my laptop although much slower..LOL..
I completed this painting last year. It was part of a series of children paintings that I was doing at the time..I used a lot of texture on the chair which gave it somewhat a 3 dimensional look ..the little dog was inspired by my Monty who is forever hungry and begging for food !
I am catching up with painting stock for my ebay store this week . This lovely small antique box has just been listed. I am always looking for these little old boxes wherever I go..they are perfect for painting my bears onto and make a nice little collectable that can become a future family heirloom ..It just amazes me the variety of boxes that I come across . I rarely find 2 the same ..The full price of this one is $150 ..I prefer to accept paypal as it is such a safe and easy way to trade on the net..
well we celebrated the last of our family birthdays for July (4) today so I should be able to get back to painting next week . My ebay store is sadly lacking at the moment so it will be full steam ahead with lots of ideas on the drawing board ..just needing me to get my act together !
I finished the portrait of little Tess this morning ..just in time ..Tess is a much loved Australian Terrier now in her senior years ..Happy Birthday Mum !

I have just finished the pet portrait that I have been working on. I made several changes along the way and after asking my client to send me a few more photos I decided to add more details to the cat in the foreground . In one of the photos he had the most beautiful tail so I painted this in as well..just an adjustment to make this cat's eyes more blue and the painting was done..On to my next painting tomorrow..a dear aging Australian terrier called Tess..
Almost there ...I worked on the painting this morning ..this is sooo enjoyable I think that i will be sad when it is finished!
with way too many distractions ..I am still working on the pet portrait and it is coming together nicely ...This painting 'Out Of The Blue' is a painting of Wollongong harbour that sold at an exhibition last year..
